Zaragoza Students Get A Move On

More than 500 students of Ignacio Zaragoza Elementary School made very creative posters showing their favorite ways to Get A Move On.   The poster contest was school nurse, Jamie Bernstein’s, way of helping students personalize the Energy Balance presentation the students received earlier this spring.  The student council selected the 30 finalists from each classroom.  Seven grade level winners will receive a One Year Complimentary YMCA Family Membership at the schools award ceremony in June.

Get A Move On has reached 21,000 students through the Energy Balance Presentation and including 13,000 DISD 3rd Graders, 4,000 YMCA After school care participants and 4,000 YMCA Day Camp participants.
